                   In the 1860’s the founder, Louis Turcan, was a pharmacist in Pertuis. He was also the city’s mayor .He has been one of the first to plant vines  in Ansouis. He called himself “pharmacist
                winegrower” !   |

                 Since
                then, the estate is transmitted through the generations and the
                family imprint remains prominent in
                the winery and its products. 
                This symbiosis between 
                the family and their land is what gives the wines their

                 Located
                at 220 meters above sea level on the south face of the Luberon
                the estate is  planted on a windy and rocky limestone
                plateau and gets full sun at noon. The 15ha of the vineyard 
                are all in one block and surround the winery, 
                The
                Mourre Nègre mountain towers above this rich terroir which is
                recognized as one of the best in the 
                Luberon.Thus the noble grape varieties,   Grenache ,
                Syrah and Carignan for the reds and rosés, 
                Vermentino, Roussane and Viognier for the whites,  give a
                remarkable balance to the wines.

                 Every season the vineyard offers a 
                magnificent landscape with the ever 
                changing colors of the Luberon: "the blue 
                hour," the pink hour" and "the mauve hour" 
                follow one another from sunrise with a 
                bluish, misty air to a flamboyant sunset 
                over the medieval chateau of Ansouis .
